Community Recreation Center
This project includes the development of a multi-generational recreation center that will offer a wide array of outreach opportunities and services for the entire New Braunfels Community. Click here for details.

This project involves the development of a 16 acre neighborhood park adjacent to Morningside Elementary School.

New Braunfels 2013 Bond Program


The citizens of New Braunfels passes a Bond Election on May 11, 2013 including $20 million for Parks, Recreation and Open Space Improvements. The above listed park projects (Community Recreation Center and Morningside Park Development)are a part of the 2013 Bond Program.

Preliminary Engineering Report for Reuse Water Project

New Braunfels Utilities in cooperation with the City of New Braunfels retained River
City Engineering, PLLC, to prepare a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) for the development of a reuse water system for irrigation of the City’s park land, greenbelts, public irrigated landscapes, and athletic fields.

The PER was completed in March 2015.

Parks Reclaimed Water Irrigation Feasibility Study
The City of New Braunfels Parks Reclaimed Water Irrigation Feasibility Study was completed in July 2011 by Espey Consultants, Inc. Study Participants included theCity of New Braunfels, New Braunfels Utilities (NBU), Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA), Edwards Aquifer Authority (EAA) and the Texas Water Development Board. The feasibility study was designed to give an analysis of the viability of the idea to use reuse water for parkland irrigation.

Puppy Playland Dog Park
